What is this blog about? It's about combining the world of Steampunk and the magic of fairy tales, and speculations about how the two would go together.
My take on the Steampunk Fairytale would be that these would be fairy stories or stories of the impossible viewed from the "Steam Punk" world. As in: some stuff would happen in Steampunk fairy tales that wouldn't be possible within the Steam Punk world itself. I think that Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle would probably be an excellent example of a Steam Punk fairy tale.
This blog is also going to be about my own story titled "Steampunk Fairytale" which is going to operate on the theory above. There will be airships, gears, bolts, steam technology, but also plenty of magic. The story is still being hammered out on the anvil, right now, but I can leave you with the picture of the gear fairy above, and the link to the "cover" art that I made.

What a cool concept! I'm a bit of a steampunk addict, mainly in films like City of Lost Children &c. so I'm eager to see what you come up with!
